Ben Gagnon
CEO and Board Member
Mr. Gagnon started his career at Bitfarms as Director of Business Development in 2019 and was promoted to the Director of Mining Operations in 2020 and Chief Mining Officer in 2021. In his various roles at the Company, Ben has been responsible for mining strategy and operations, including growth strategies, mining economics, miner portfolio management, and evaluation and integration of new technologies. He has worked intimately with every department in the Company. Prior to joining Bitfarms, Mr. Gagnon founded and operated two Bitcoin mining companies, holding roles as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Mining Officer and Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Gagnon earned his M.Sc. in Internet Computing from Hong Kong University and has a B.Sc. in Economic Consulting and International Business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. In addition, Mr. Gagnon currently serves as co-chair of the Canadian Blockchain Consortium Mining Committee and is a lead analyst for the Bitcoin Mining Council.
Brian Howlett

Brian Howlett, CPA. is a financial professional with over 30 years experience serving as senior officer and director of many public companies. He currently serves as President, CEO and a director of Hemlo Explorers Inc. and he is a director of Nighthawk Gold Corp. He was previously the President and CEO of Dundee Sustainable Technologies Inc.
Andrés Finkielsztain
Independent Director
Andres Finkielsztain has many years of experience as a founder, portfolio manager, and analyst with various capacities within asset management. His years of experience across a variety of industries brings insight to Bitfarms’ operations.
Edie Hofmeister
Independent Director
Ms. Hofmeister has advised large and small multi-national extractive companies on legal
and ESG matters for over twenty years. Most recently she served as Executive Vice
President Corporate Affairs and General Counsel for Tahoe Resources where she led the
Legal, Sustainability and Government Affairs departments and helped grow Tahoe from a
junior exploration company to a mid-cap precious metals producer. Since 2006, Ms.
Hofmeister has worked alongside rural and indigenous communities in India, Peru,
Guatemala, Mexico and Canada to enhance food, work and water security. Ms. Hofmeister
serves as the Chair of the International Bar Association’s Business and Human Rights
Committee, a group dedicated to promoting high ESG standards in multi-national
corporations.
Ms. Hofmeister received a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations
from UCLA, a Master of Arts degree in international peace studies from the University of
Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco.
Fanny Philip, CPA
Independent Director
Fanny Philip, CPA, is an auditor with over a decade of experience, including C-suite executive financial and operational roles at a publicly listed company. She is the founder of MTI Conseils Inc., an accounting firm that provides outsourced accounting and CFO services. Recognized as a leader and advisor in digital assets and high-performance computing, she is a member of the Mining Committee of the Canadian Blockchain Consortium (CBC), where she also serves as the President of its Quebec Chapter. Ms. Philip holds a Trilingual Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Public Accounting from HEC Montréal, where she also earned a Graduate Diploma in Public Accounting.
