Executive Team

Mr. Gagnon started his career at Bitfarms as Director of Business Development in 2019 and was promoted to the Director of Mining Operations in 2020 and Chief Mining Officer in 2021. In his various roles at the Company, Ben has been responsible for mining strategy and operations, including growth strategies, mining economics, miner portfolio management, and evaluation and integration of new technologies. He has worked intimately with every department in the Company. Prior to joining Bitfarms, Mr. Gagnon founded and operated two Bitcoin mining companies, holding roles as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Mining Officer and Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Gagnon earned his M.Sc. in Internet Computing from Hong Kong University and has a B.Sc. in Economic Consulting and International Business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. In addition, Mr. Gagnon currently serves as co-chair of the Canadian Blockchain Consortium Mining Committee and is a lead analyst for the Bitcoin Mining Council.

Jeffrey Lucas has extensive international finance and operational experience with public companies listed on the NYSE and Nasdaq. With experience working in high-yield investment banking and in institutional money management, Jeffrey brings financial insight and strategy to Bitfarms’ team.

Mr. Wilson is a seasoned operating executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience. Mr. Wilson has transacted in excess of 900 MW of power across the U.S. including developing and operating facilities in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Georgia, Texas and Nebraska. He is an expert in the deregulated U.S. energy industry, having led the first large scale and market-leading Bitcoin mining demand response program in the deregulated PJM market. His previous senior executive experience includes roles as the Chief Operating Officer for publicly traded Mawson Infrastructure Group Inc., Group Operations Manager for publicly traded EVT Hospitality and Entertainment, and Group Operations Manager for The Whitehouse Group.

Benoit Gobeil is a master electrician and started Volta Électrique in 2010. The company serves as Bitfarms’ in-house electrical engineering and maintenance firm. Benoit’s significant experience in project management and his electrical skills are instrumental in his role of keeping our facilities running.

Marc-André Ammann is a CPA Auditor, CA and has over 15 years of experience in finance and senior management positions in public companies listed in Canada and the United States. Marc-André has extensive experience with finance-related functions including financial reporting, corporate accounting, internal controls, financial planning & analysis, IPO preparation, tax, management reporting and cash management.

Serving in different corporate finance and management roles, Fortier played an essential role in a variety of transactional and growth initiatives, both as a principal and advisor to private and listed organizations for over 10 years. He has worked at National Bank Financial, BDG & Partners and Deloitte. Fortier holds a BBA from HEC Montreal and a MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a qualified CPA and is fluent in French, Spanish, and English.

Tracy Krumme has over 30 years of leadership experience in investor relations, financial communications, investment banking, and equity research. She has led investor relations at several public companies where she was instrumental in driving shareholder value, global visibility, and prominence. Her established reputation and proven track record enables her to bring a strategic acumen to her role at Bitfarms. Tracy most recently led the pre-IPO process at Galderma SA and has held positions as an equity research analyst at Sandler O'Neill + Partners, L.P., an investment strategist at Prudential Securities, and an investment banker at Kidder, Peabody International in London.

Damian joined Bitfarms in May 2021 as General Manager for Latin America and has developed the Company's first two projects in the region, in Rio Cuarto (ARG) and Villarica (PY). Prior to BITF, Damian spent 20 years in corporate and investment banking in Buenos Aires (BNP Paribas, BEAL) and New York (WestLB, BESI, Haitong Bank) mainly in energy and infrastructure project finance for Latin America.

Paul Magrath is a CPA, CA and has over 25 years of experience in senior tax positions at publicly listed, global multinational companies. Paul has extensive experience in international tax and transfer pricing issues, as well as tax planning, tax incentives, accounting for income taxes, and compliance. He is a thought leader in taxation and works regularly with the OECD, Finance Canada and the CRA on sound administration of tax laws through various industry associations.

Patricia Osorio is an accredited Colombian lawyer with over 18 years of corporate experience in Canada, including corporate governance roles with activities overseas (Africa and Latin America). She has managed business relations and has supported several transactions. Patricia is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

Andrea Keen Souza is a senior human resource professional with over 20 years of international experience in high growth start-ups, scale-ups, and mergers and acquisitions. Andrea is fluent in English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Stephanie Wargo brings 25 years of crypto, finance and technology industry expertise working for rapidly growing financial services companies. Stephanie owns Bitfarm’s marketing strategy, including content, branding, advertising, media relations, among other responsibilities.

Guillaume Reeves has been a part of Bitfarms’ programming department since before the Company was known as it is today. His expertise and deep understanding of Bitfarms’ programming and infrastructure departments makes him an invaluable asset as Director of Information Technologies, with over 6 years of experience working in the industry. Guillaume is fluent in English, French, and Spanish.

Jeff Gao has over 10 years of experience in tech entrepreneurship. He has advised a wide range of fintech startups in lean and experimental product development. Jeff brings to Bitfarms his experience as a technical lead in portfolio management, enterprise risk management and derivative securities. He helps develop market-oriented solutions to improve the monetization of Bitfarms' mining infrastructure and production. Jeff has an active research interest in the effectiveness of exchange-listed securities to hedge portfolio and inventory risk.

Jeff holds a B.Com/BIS from the University of Melbourne, a B.Sc/B.Eng from Monash University and has completed the CFA program.
